Welcome to Synchronised Swimming Australia

Synchronised Swimming Australia Incorporated (SSAI) is the governing body for the synchronised swimming sport in Australia.  SSAI is supported by four state governing bodies in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.  The federal and state bodies currently support a total of 11 clubs distributed over four states.  Additional clubs are currently being planned and will be updated as they gain accreditation.  Please check the CONTACT tab on the main page for a list of clubs and their contact details.

Brief History 

Synchronised swimming officially is accredited to an Australian-born actor and swimmer named Annette Kellerman.  An accomplished swimmer and athlete, Kellerman performed the first recorded routine in 1907 in Boston.  Read the full story by clicking the link below.
