When did you start Synchro? Age 11 (1998)
Why/ how?It was a change from competitive swimming. I
wanted to combine my love of music, with my love of the water and
dance/gymnastics.
Why do you like Synchro?It is the sport of perfectionists.
I believe it to be the hardest sport. It combines elements of every single
discipline; strength, grace, agility, extreme flexibility, precision,
power, creativity, rhythm…. Mastering this, or atleast attempting to master
such a sport, bring extreme satisfaction.
What are your Synchro goals?To medal at the upcoming
Commonwealth Games. To represent Australia in the duet in the 2012 Olympic
Games.
When did you enter the National Team?My first National
team qualification was in 2002 for the Junior World Championships in
Montreal. My first open National team was in 2004 as the duet at the Swiss
Open and as the soloist in the Junior World Championships in Moscow.
